Northern Wall Ascent

The app writes your climbing records into the private storage of your phone and reads them back from there whenever you return. That local record includes:

• Logged climbs — the grade, number of attempts, ascent style and hold colour you choose.
• Your derived stats — total sends, hardest grade, experience points, climber level and day streak.
• Your best wall-route game score.
• Hangboard protocols you save, including any custom hang, rest and set values.
• Your chosen interface language.

You stay in control of this record: remove individual entries from within the app, or uninstall the app to clear all of it from the device.

To run smoothly on Android and to render its athletic typography, the app is built on top of two standard Google technologies:

• Google Play Services is the common Android framework the app uses for core platform compatibility across devices.
• Google Fonts supplies the Anton and Assistant typefaces, which are bundled inside the app so its text displays consistently offline.

Each service is governed by the terms of its own provider. The app itself keeps its climbing data on your device as described above.

Northern Wall Ascent is designed for a general climbing audience. Its content — logging climbs, viewing progress and training on a timer — is suitable for anyone interested in bouldering.
